Would short hair look alright on a "heavier" person?

My hair is currently at my shoulders and I've been thinking about cutting it shorter but am worried that since I'm already "heavier" to start with, the cut would make me look huge! Any opinions? I don't want to go super short and boyish like T'Pol (for those of you who aren't Star Trek fans, here is a horribly small picture of her: http://www.startrek.com/imageuploads/200... ), maybe a cute little bob or something. Short hair can look great on someone who is bigger. Make sure you have a lot of volume though as it will balance you out. Go for a layered bob if a bob is what you are after, although I think razor cut styles can look fantastic, such as the one on the top right of my link.

I think that a lot of people recommend that heavier women get shorter hair styles to show off their faces and bring attention to that. I personally don't like short hair, but try using photoshop to put a short haircut onto your body if you can to test that way.

MM...i wouldnt say that short..maybe something at shoulder length...and if you hate being 'heavy'...exercise...even for like 5 minutes a day. Then you can get WHATEVER hairstyle you want, and not be limited

I was afraid to get my hair cut short since im kind of heavy myself but after i did it looked great. That hair style would be fine but maybe not so short maybe an inch or two longer just in case.

I am a little heavy and in my experience it doesn't look bad as long as it is to my chin or longer. A bob would be super cute as long as up front where it's around your face its chin length!

I think that short (well, not T'Pol short) hair can look great on anyone, plus size or not. I actually found that when I had really long hair I hid behind it all the time. When I cut my hair chin length I felt very cute and flirty and had more self-confidence. Not saying that this will necessarily happen for you, but I think if you want to, go for it! There are lots of websites where you can upload your pic and try on hairstyles. I found a really cut bob on the link below, now I just have to convince my husband that it will look cute on me! lol

I have heard that if your face is round you shouldn't go shorter because it would make the roundness of your face more obvious. If you aren't sure you should try going to a website where you can try on hairstyles. All you have to do is take a picture of yourself (preferably with your hair pulled back from your face) and upload it onto the site.
