Another hair dilema!?

i have thick hair and my face is um round and long i guess. i have quite a thick fringe and its got long layers. my hair comes just pass my shoulders! people have been telling me to get a bob done but i don't have a clue as my hairs thick. my hair is straight! would a bob look okay on me?!

Another hair dilema!?

A bob is good for your face type, plus the stylist can go in with a razor and get rid of the bulk if it looks too thick .

Totally and if it doesnt look good after u get it done then ask your baber what he/she suggests!!!

I have a round face and a bob does NOT help! Honestly, you want to keep your hair either well below the chin or above your chin with straight razor edges (nothing round or curved) to enlongate your face. A bob stops right at the chin, thus emphasizing the roundness of your face. You said you have long hair, you should try updos or a long bang (swooped to the side) or something that adds height to the top of your head to draw attn away from the round race shape. Also, put your part on the side (either left or right works) of your head, not in the middle to create an imbalance in the shape. If you put a part in the middle, it creates symmetry, aka creating a round shape! It's hard for us, but a bob is the wrong choice.

One more suggestion is your jewelry. If you wear earrings keep them straighter with points instead of hoops. Also, it helps if they are kinda long. If you wear glasses, get rectangular or square frames or another interesting shape (don't know about cat-eyes lol) instead of the round/oval shape.

For thick hair, I usually recommend a lots of layering. This leaves room for texturing, which makes the world of difference for removing bulk. Bobbed hair would just make your face look rounder.

I try just cutting your hair to just above or on your sholders have loadz if layers and have you hair thinned out with a razor or thinning scisissors i have really thick hair takes up to half hour to blow dry it straight so i know what im talking about. once ive had it thinned its more mangeable and looks more healthy just dont go made and only have it done every so often. hope you find the style you lookin like.

agree with elle. (just what i would say)

A bob is like any other style - it will only suit you if you have the right face type for the style that you want. You may prefer to have it cut to your shoulders in a straight blunt cut, then get the hairdresser to introduce some cutting into the ends to thin them out so the hair doesnt look bulky. And streaks hi or lo lights depending on your colour, can also add dimension. Using products like anti frizz/deep conditioner/hot oil can also make your hair seem more sleek and it will be softer and more manageable then you wont need to have much cut, just athe changes listed above may be all you need.
