Idea's on how to make my pumpkin head bob less poofy?

Have very thick hair,not frizzy and the bob haircut is flat on the top and very full at the sides even when I part it on the side. What can I use to add more height to the top and make the sides of my hair less poofy w/out making my hair look too wet looking using gel products? How can the hairdresser thin it out?

a hair dresser can thin it for you. but if your hair is thick it's best to go a little longer than a bob and get layers. LOTS of layers.

a teasing comb and hair spray can do wonders. just tease at the top and with a little hair spray (beginners spray the comb, when you get more used to it spray your hair).
