Damaged hair??

i wash my hair every other day and normally blowdry it then straighten it. my hair is in a bob, but i'm desperate to grow it. the thing is it's in really bad conditon. i had the ends trimmed off today but my hair just feels really dry. also i have whiteheads all over my scalp and don't know where they're coming from. how can i get rid of them?

once a week i use a conditioning mask, and i don't use any other products in it. i know i should buy a heat protector spray but my mum won't let me. any tips on how to keep my hair soft and silky but still keeping my hair straight. my hair is very thick and when i leave it to dry naturally it looks a real mess. thanks!!!!

Damaged hair??

if you want to continue straightening your hair, use a heat protection spray before straightening it. it will prevent the iron from damaging your hair as much as it normally would and will help make your hair shiny. i recommend "nexus heat protex." if your mom wont let you buy any, try to convince her because they really help your hair. theyre not that expensive a bottle lasts a long time.

DONT wash your hair every day. wash it every 2-3 days. washing your hair every day will only hurt it. Deep condition your hair 1-2 times a week. i recommend "garnier deep conditioner." If you're using garnier, remember to also use their shampoo for damaged hair.

try to let your hair air dry instead of blowdry. blowdrying your hair damages it a lot. try to wash it at night and sleep with your hair wet. its healthier.

you can also try a multi-vitamin. they are also good for your hair.

as for the whiteheads on your scalp: maybe you have dandruff?

Damaged hair??

maybe you are having an adverse reaction to your shampoo and conditioner.

but to make hair healthier:

avoid excessive heat use

keep it conditioned and moisturized

if you must flat iron it, use products to deflect heat damage

moisturize your scalp so its not dry

maybe you need a professional's help. see your stylist and see what she recommends. good luck :)

Damaged hair??

Use a good shampoo that treats dry and damaged hair, such as Tressame (spelling?) and Nexxus. They are both somewhat more expensive than other shampoos, but they work a lot better. Use conditioner as well, and put a dimesize amount on your ends, and leave it in, dont wash out. That should make the ends less dry and frizzy. Use the conditioning mask on a regular basis, but make sure that it doesn't have any harsh chemicals, because that may help make your hair dry

Damaged hair??

you need to NOT DO THAT MUCH HEAT WITH OUT PROTECTION!

do a deep condition everyday

with all that heat and no protection you never will get out of that dryness tho

Damaged hair??

What I would do is try the Herbal Essences Hairapy stuff. There is one that I use that is specifically for dry hair. It's in a blue bottle - can't exactly remember the name. There is also a conditioner that goes with it that I think would really help also. About the whiteheads - maybe you need to shampoo better? It doesn't seem normal to have whiteheads on your scalp so I would definitely talk to a dermatologist about that. I hope this helps you out!

Damaged hair??

by whiteheads do you mean dandruff? Remeber to wash really good and get out all the soap in your hair, that might be whats causing the problem.I suggest head and shoulders for dandruff, maybe there is even one for dry hair. Look throught the aisles for shampoo that is for dry hair and dont forget the

conditioner to make it softer. When you blow dry blrush your hair every once in a while, while blowdrying or get detangling spray. Try Conditiong spray. Good Luck!

Damaged hair??

You sure do have damaged hair

time to get the good ole VO5 out me thinks.

Have you been using a shampoo with a stay in conditioner???

If so chuck it out as it does leave a residue.

Try using some pantenene for while do not dye your hair and try and let your hair dry naturally, stay way from the hairdryer.

Make sure you eat good food no junk stuff it all helps.

Best of luck
