I used to have very shirt hair which I washed daily and sometimes twice a day. It's a shoulder-length (well, almost!) bob now and I'm trying to wash it less frequentlyt (because of time taken to dry it and also to improve the condition). Trouble is, by the end of day 2, it really looks like a greasy mess and drives me crazy. Should I go back to washing it every day?

I/m a guy, but whne I had hair below my shoulders, I washed it 3-4 times a week. The natural greases are actually better for your hair. Super models only wash their hair about 3-4 times a week.

I have had very long hair (to my waist) for 10 years. I wash my hair every day. I have found that the more I touch my hair, or run my hands through it the greasier it gets. The olis transfer from my hands to my hair. If you play with your hair alot, try and make an effort not to and see if it helps.

Try using a more gentle shampoo, you produce more oil the more you wash your hair or scrub at the scalp. Your body will need to get use to not producing this amount of oil where you use to wash it everyday.

Some people however need to wash it every day. I know my hair don't start to look greasy until day three. Whenever I get a color or chemical service I go for four to five days without washing for that first week and just put it up in a ponytail when it starts looking greasy.This way my color/perm lasts longer.

I have medium length blonde, fine hair and i wash it every day - also cause it gets greasy very easily.

Use conditioner to improve the condition but only on the ends of your hair, not the roots.

Also, instead of washing it every day, you can use batiste dry shampoo (it's a Godsend) or even normal talcum powder. This way, you can keep your hair feeling clean and not have to wash/dry it every day.

Yes it is a pain having to wash your hair all the time,well I should really wash my hair every other day but I just get some talcum powder rub some on my hands %26amp; rub it through my hair,it's good it drys it up with out damaging your hair,give this ago,I sujested it to afew of my friends %26amp; they do it all the time now.

i have medium hair and i wash it everyday because it gets greasy too. My hairdresser says that you should shampoo everyday and use conditioner once a week because your hair releases the natural oils thats why it gets all icky. Its up to you if you dont like the feeling, wash it everyday :) hope i helped.

I have short hair and tend to wash it every day - especially during the week when I'm at work or for the weekend if I'm going out. I think because I use wax in it, that it needs to be washed daily. Your hair sounds like it perhaps needs more attention - something like changing your shampoo and/or conditioner might help, or perhaps changing the products you use it in. On the other hand, perhaps you are washing it too often and stripping away the naturalness of your hair. Why don't you talk to your hairdressers next time you get it cut and ask for their advice? try and only wash it twice a week and let your natural oils kick in try and use a touch of talc on your hair between washers to stop the greasy hair....

medium-long hair just below my shoulders i wash it everyday. nah what you should do is when you wash it do 2 shampoos and 1 conditioner but wen u condition only put it on the mid-lengths and ends don't put it on your roots it causes your hair 2 gets greay quicker.

i got told once that if your hair is greasy and your in a rush and don't have time to wash it then put talc power on it, put it into your hands then brush with hands into your hair.

my hair is shoulder length too. when using conditioner only apply a small amount of it to the ends of your hair as the conditioner sometimes can make your roots look greasy.

i wash my hair three times a week now i used to wash my hair everyday but i found my hair ended up very fly-away and dry

My hair is just past my shoulders and is very thick. I have to wash it every other day at least, otherwise it drives me crazy! If you always use a good conditioner/shampoo it shouldn't hurt the condition too much.

I used to have hair halfway down my back, and I washed it maybe every 3 or 4 days, but now I've cut it short into a layered bob it needs washed every second day and get greasy so quickly. I don't even use any serums/sprays/treatments.

Whoever said that short hair was low maintenance lied!!!
